A Use for Vinegar
Has anyone ever heard of this? I just read it in an antique Modern Priscilla magazine from 1917. I wonder if it would work. I may try it sometime. I suppose it would work the same as a marinade.
"Did you know that soaking your meats for about one hour in one quart water and one tablespoon vinegar, then cooking in the usual way will make them much more tender and improve the flavor in the beef?"

I know that when you do that with venison that it takes the gamey taste out.

There is vinegar in the marinade I use for shishkebobs which tenderizes the meat so your idea would work well
